The Bangs Police Department is hiring full-time police officers. Applications will be accepted until the position(s) are filled. Applications may be picked up in person at Bangs City Hall, 109 S. 1st St., Bangs, TX., from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: enforcing state and municipal laws in order to ensure the safety of all citizens, investigating criminal offenses including gathering evidence, identifying and arresting suspects, preparing and presenting case information, providing community outreach, investigating traffic collisions and directing traffic at accident scenes. You may also be asked to respond to disturbance calls, fights, burglaries, robberies, and crimes in progress to include physically controlling the offender. You may also participate in specialized investigations by performing undercover sting operations, gathering intelligence, participating in criminal investigations, and assisting in the surveillance of suspects and suspected criminal locations.
