To assist the Pool Manager, Head Lifeguards, Lifeguards, and Water Safety Instructors in providing pool patrons with a safe and enjoyable swimming environment. The Pool Attendant position is part of our Lifeguard and WSI development program. Training available. Flexible hours in a fun team environment.Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.Includes weekdays, evenings and weekends throughout the summerPAY: $11-$13 per hour based on experience. As a seasonal position with less than 1,040 hours per year, no benefits are available.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Enforce and follow all pool rules and regulations at all timesBe helpful and courteous towards co-workers, supervisors and the general public by demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and cooperative interpersonal behaviorsMonitor and control the ages and behaviors of pool patrons in the zero depth entry children's activity pool and the surrounding grassy areas and seating areasMonitor and control the behavior of pool patrons on the deck during rest period in cooperation with the on duty lifeguardReport pool patrons showing unruly, argumentative, profane, or other negative attitudes and behaviorsAssist the WSI's with lesson preparation and assist the WSI in the water and on the deck as directed by the Pool ManagerAssist with front window-office duties as directed such as answering the telephone, collecting admission fees, tracking attendance, etcAssist with the maintenance of the pool, office area, first aid room, lifeguard room, rest rooms, and the pool groundsAssist with daily opening and closing proceduresKeep window and office area neat and cleanWash and disinfect the locker room floors, check to make sure all toilets are flushed and the garbage is picked upMake sure there is no smoking or horseplay in the locker roomsBe pleasant and courteous to pool patrons at all timesInform pool patrons of pool rulesOther related duties as assigned
