To assist the Pool Manager in overseeing the staff, daily pool operations, and programs while providing a safe and enjoyable leisure experience for patrons.Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.HOURS: Summer weekday, evening and weekend hours requiredPAY: $15-$18 per hour based on experience. As a seasonal position with less than 1,040 hours per year, no benefits are available.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Oversee any pool issues relating to staff, the general public, mechanical/chemical systems, and the building and groundsCarry out the responsibilities of a lifeguard as part of the shift rotationAssist in the training and supervision of the Lifeguard staffHandle grievances of staff members and report the positive resolution of the conflictEvaluate Lifeguard staff performance and use corrective coaching techniques as needed throughout the course of the summerHandle all grievances and/or discipline cases involving pool patrons when the Pool Manager is off duty or away from the poolEnsure the maximum safety of pool patrons and make certain that the pool and the facility overall are clean and well maintained at all timesAssist the Pool Manager in preparing the weekly work scheduleResponsible for a cumulative staff hours log that will be maintained on sitePromote and maintain a positive, cooperative, and healthy work atmosphere and maintain effective professional communication with all staff members at all timesAssign Lifeguard rotations as neededAssist the Pool Manager in maintaining proper pool records and reportsKeep track of daily receipts and make daily deposits when scheduledKeep thorough incident/accident reports on approved City formsInspect and report any equipment which needs repair or replacementOther responsibilities as directed by supervisor
