PT ASSISTANT SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR
This position is responsible for conducting and implementing safe, fun and age-appropriate activities for campers ages 5-15. May require improvising and minor planning of activities. Must be able to effectively supervise staff and camp operations. Must be able to provide leadership, supervision, direction and guidance for camp staff and campers. Must be able to communicate with parents, counselors, campers and other staff in a timely and professional manner. Must have proficiency using a computer including using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Will keep daily attendance records, discipline forms, accident forms and other necessary daily records. Performs other related tasks or duties assigned by higher management. Driving required for some tasks. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, morning, afternoon, and/or some evenings, weekends, holidays as well as special events between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm. Physical and mental capability to supervise a large group of children (1:16 maximum ratio). Must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate, or have a GED. Must have a valid TN driver’s license that must remain valid as a condition of employment, and have experience supervising a camp or other children’s program or a combination of education and experience. Pursuing or completed a degree in Education, Physical Education, Recreation or other related field preferred but not required. CPR, first aid and AED certification preferred but City will provide training, if necessary. Must pass a background check and physical exam, including a drug test and TB test. Will work in a non-smoking work environment. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.
