GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Director of Aviation, performs highly responsible professional administrative and supervisory work directing the financial administration of operating and capital improvement projects for the Greater Baton Rouge Airport District. Work involves the efficient administration of all financial and administrative matters associated with the operating expenses, Passenger Facility Charge, Customer Facility Charge, and capital improvement programs. Work also involves the management of professional, technical, and clerical staff engaged in financial operation activities; financial stewardship of City-Parish funds; and representation of the department in a variety of public forums (e.g. Airport Commission and Metropolitan Council Meetings). Work requires exceptional teamwork and the use of independent judgment within established policy guidelines. Performs other work as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting and eight years of professional-level experience in contract administration and management, accounting, or auditing, including four years of managerial experience (may include complex project management).
SUBSTITUTIONS
CPA may substitute for one year of work experience, or any equivalent combination.
