Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions : Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational programs, ensuring they align with the needs and interest of the community. Plan and coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, staffing, facility requirements. Assist Lakeside Center Manager and may serve as a main point of contact for class instructors, volunteers, and patrons. Manage program budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring revenue, making recommendations for cost-effective measures. Evaluate program effectiveness and participation satisfaction through surveys, feedback, data analysis to deliver high-quality programs. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations; stay informed with other recreational centers across Texas for best practices; maintain accurate program records, attendance, registrations, evaluations; create flyers, publications, calendar of events, pamphlets and brochures; maintains the Lakeside Center Social Media Sites such as Facebook.

Working Conditions
Works indoors in a normal office environment. Must be available to work a weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m., overtime as needed.
Minimum Essential Qualifications
Knowledge : Knowledge of general office procedures; knowledge of business English; knowledge of proper telephone etiquette; knowledge of computer operations. Knowledge of database management; must develop a complete working knowledge of city operations and services; knowledge of all current social media platforms.
Skills / Abilities : Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo / video / text) presentation and communication skills; skilled in the use of personal computers, printers, software and other office equipment; telephone etiquette; must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills; detail oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; experience managing deadlines and production schedule; excellent proof-reading skills; a collaborative spirit and ability to engage colleagues and leadership.
Physical Requirements : Constantly sees and hears; frequently performs data entry, files, sits, sorts types, lifts, carries, holds objects weighing up to 20 lbs., operates a calculator, squats, stands, twists body, walks, writes by hand, pushes and pulls objects weighing up to 25 lbs., squats, stands, twists body, walks, and writes by hand.
Education / Experience : Graduation from high school or equivalent; one (1) year general office experience that included typing and computer operation; experience using data processing software preferred.
