What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Aide (PT) position at City of Beaumont?
Essential Job Functions: Helps keep carts in line for play and clean for customers; has to be able to get carts out of maintenance area and stage them for customers as well as place them back on charge after use. Moves tee markers and picks up small trash on course as needed. Maintains water coolers and assists in Pro Shop when needed. Rakes sand traps, picks up the driving range, and other course maintenance needs as per Course Superintendent. Some grounds maintenance experience required.

Knowledge: Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred. Needs to know the basic rules of golf and golf course etiquette. Also knowledge of setting up tee markers in accordance with daily course conditions.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to maintain an orderly workspace, and to work independently.
Physical Requirements: Constantly hears and sees; frequently carries up to 70 lbs; holds and drags up to 40 lbs; pulls, pushes and lifts up to 55 lbs; bends, crouches, drives, kneels, reads, reaches, stands, stoops, squats, sorts, twists body, walks, cleans, writes by hand, requires stamina. Infrequently climbs, digs, lifts up to 70 lbs; carries 70 lbs. Use of measuring equipment; uses physical dexterity.
Education/Experience: High school graduation or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 16 years of age.
