Essential Job Functions: Assist in planning and organizing all operations at designated city facilities. Works closely with guests, groups, vendors, and other city departments in coordinating events. Responsible for ordering supplies, scheduling staff, facility cleanliness, operations of events. Trains staff on cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Evaluates employees and conducts disciplinary action as needed. Assigns task according to schedule, ensuring all work is complete on predetermined time frame. Coordinates routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning for designated city facilities. Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklist. Lead Supervisor of city facilities during events.

Exposed to all types of weather conditions indoors and outdoors. Works varying schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts. Will be required to work overtime as requested by employer.
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the materials, methods, techniques and equipment used in event preparation. Extensive knowledge of building maintenance, professional custodial procedures, methods, and chemicals used. Maintains general knowledge of Fire and Building Codes with an emphasis on aspects concerning public safety. Knowledge of theatrical technical equipment and audio/visual operations.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to interact with other coworkers, public and city officials; ability to make fast decisions and promote safe work habits and efficiently supervise employees; ability to accomplish multiple tasks under brief deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Constantly sees, hears, sits, types, operates a PC and writes by hand; frequently sorts, twist body, pushes, pulls, lifts or carries objects weighing up to 50lbs, stands, walks, enters data and drives.
Education/Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in public assembly facilities management, events, or related field.
Must possess a valid Class C driver's license with a good driving record. Other state valid Driver's License equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered. Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency, you must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.

Salary : $45,000
