The City of Beloit has an employment opportunity in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works and is currently accepting applications for the position of Engineering Technician.
This Engineering Technician is responsible for technical and skilled sub-professional engineering work, including responsibility for operating engineering levels, GPS Units with speed and accuracy, performing construction inspections on public works construction projects, developing plans and specifications, preparing construction cost-estimates and pay requests, recording as-built information, and preparing maps and other documents as needed. Provides technical support for other departments and divisions as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with course work in civil engineering, construction management, surveying or a closely related field is preferred.
- Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.
