Recreation is looking for tourism staff for the 2025 summer season!
- May through August
- Monday to Friday
- Daytime and early Evening hours
Referral Incentive – A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork is required within one week of employee's start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible.
Commitment Incentive – A seasonal employee who works all sessions of camp will receive $50 bonus.
Mechanically maintain the bicycle rental fleet, operated by the Tourist Information Center, on an as needed basis.The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
- Responsible for repairing, checking and fixing bicycles.
- Assists in delivering and transporting bicycles.
- Inspect and prepare bikes for rental season (May through October, weather permitting).
- Responsible for keeping workshop/bike storage area clean and organized.
- Provide feedback about bicycles.
- Keep a detailed log of work completed on bicycles and maintain detailed accounting of time spent (rounding to the quarter hour, or 15-minute interval).
- Work with bike rental site (Tourist Information Center), BSU, and City of Bemidji Parks & Recreation Department to provide safe bicycle rentals.
- Represent the bicycle rental program in a professional and positive manner.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and bicycles.
- Perform related tasks, as required.
- Previous bike mechanic experience and bike knowledge
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to be autonomous, prioritize workday, multitask and be detail-oriented
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must possess a valid State driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Salary : $17 - $21
