What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evidence Custodian position at City of Bethel, Alaska?
The Evidence Custodian is responsible for receiving, processing and warehousing property and evidence. The Custodian ensures the integrity of the evidentiary chain of custody. The Custodian is responsible for the release and disposition of property, to include preparing discover for the District Attorney's Office and transmitting evidence to other agencies.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent Two (2) years administrative support experience One (1) year experience in a position requiring public contact Six (6) months prior work experience in a position requiring the safeguarding of sensitive items and information Valid Alaska Drivers' License or the ability to travel within the City as needed
Special Requirements
This position is considered a public trust position. An applicant must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal records background check to be considered for this position. AN applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) security clearance.
