What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Maintenance Technician position at City of Bethel, Alaska?
The Utility Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and routine/emergency repairs on the City's water and wastewater system and associated physical infrastructure. The position is responsible for connection and disconnection of customer services. The position maintains the sewer lagoon and operates the discharge pump.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent One (1) year experience in general maintenance
Special Requirements
Possession of State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) certification in the following (or ability to obtain them within 24 months of employment): Water Treatment Level I Water Distribution Level I Wastewater Collection Level I Wastewater Treatment Level I
Miscellaneous Information
This position responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis as assigned.
