What are the responsibilities and job description for the BULKY WASTE COLLECTOR - PART-TIME position at CITY OF BETTENDORF?
Under general supervision, provides operational support to the Public Works Department.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Lift and load bulky waste items including but not limited to furniture (couches, cabinets, sinks, tables, etc.), minor construction materials (wood, decking material, wallboard), and yard waste.
- Ride on the back of a rear load garbage truck.
- Assist in loading appliances and electronic materials onto a Tommy lift to load into a flatbed appliance truck.
- Assist in using a power washer to clean garbage, recycling carts, and snow removal equipment.
- Makes repairs to garbage and recycling carts as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
