What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEASONAL/PART TIME SITE MANAGER position at CITY OF BETTENDORF?
Works with children and/or adults in a recreational setting. Under the guidance of an Assistant Program Manager or above, Site Managers will be directly responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing their program’s activities while supervising their assigned group of staff and children. Programs typically include large morning, afternoon, or all-day outdoor summer camps, but may also include indoor or outdoor small camps, clinics, leagues, and various special events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Oversees their campsite including interaction between staff and children.
- Works with other leaders to plan weekly themes and plans daily activities for recreation programs.
- Meets with staff daily to review camp updates and children group assignments and leads their staff in daily activities.
- Submits large equipment and supply requests for purchase and assists in the purchasing of camp supplies.
- Schedules staff to work.
- Actively participates in staff training initiatives to provide staff with the information they need to do their jobs.
- Oversees campers’ authorized pickups, allergies, parent notes, etc.
- Oversees basic camper needs such as sunscreen, first aid treatment, and bathroom breaks.
- Follows all established rules, procedures, health, and safety requirements.
- Maintains a positive attitude while serving as a good role model to staff and participants through personal language, appearance, punctuality, healthy habits, sharing in cleanup, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Encourage respect for personal property, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintains good public relations with staff, participants, parents/guardians, and spectators.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
