What We Do
The Public Works Department provides a variety of services related to the development, construction, inspection, improvement, and maintenance of the City's infrastructure. This infrastructure includes traffic lights, sidewalks, streetlights, and roadways. In addition, Public Works runs the following enterprise operations : Water, Solid Waste, Wastewater, Stormwater, and Parking Operations.
What We're Looking For
The City of Beverly Hills is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Solid Waste Equipment Operator I or Solid Waste Equipment Operator II (dependent on qualifications) . The incumbent of this position will perform collection of residential refuse which includes solid waste, mixed recycling, and organics (food and yard waste), and perform heavy manual labor involved with alley maintenance and bulky item pick-ups.
Solid Waste Equipment Operator I Job Description
Salary Range : $62,135 - $76,977 Annually
Solid Waste Equipment Operator II Job Description
Salary Range : $65,307 - $80,905 Annually
A Day at the Office : Public Works Waste Program
Selection Process :

22. Participate and or lead training activities related to collection and street sweeping operations and the safe use of associated collection and street sweeping vehicles.
23. May assist with the evaluation of solid waste operations personnel.
24. Serve as a relief operator for street sweeping operations.
