What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal - Gym Supervisor - PRPL Recreation position at City of Billings?

Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour DOE
Gym Supervisors will be responsible for performing pre/post game duties to ensure facilities are ready and safe for league play. Applicants should be familiar with the rules and bylaws of the respective sport. Gym Supervisors provide oversite of league games to maintain fair play and promote good sportsmanship. Candidate must have the ability to quickly evaluate information and make decisions and judgment calls. Applicants must be able to resolve conflicts and stay calm while handling disputes. Applicant must be able to work weekday evenings and Sundays. Games are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with 2 – 3 games per night. Season runs early January to early April.
Duties: Professional behavior before and after the sport events. Ensure cleanliness of the facility after activities. Communicate with coaches and umpires/referees, as well as supervising scorekeepers. Communicate team scores and other information to recreation staff.
