We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, playing a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update entries in the computerized financial system, including general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Perform detailed accounting tasks such as balancing and reconciling ledgers and accounts.
- Assist with the drawdown and payment of bonds, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, including statistical, financial, and budget-related documents.
- Collaborate with outside agencies to ensure timely reporting and compliance.
- Contribute to cash flow planning and investment fund management, optimizing city funds.
- Analyze financial statements, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Provide valuable input in the development of accounting policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Option A: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with at least 18 semester credit hours in accounting.
- Option B: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with at least 9 semester credit hours in accounting and 2 years of accounting or related experience.
