Electrical Maintenance Specialist
The City of Blaine, WA is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Lineman to join our Public Works team. As an essential member of our electrical maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable distribution of power throughout the city.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain electrical infrastructure, including overhead and underground power lines, streetlights, and transformers. Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints related to power outages, low voltage, and radio/TV interference. Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements. Work safely in accordance with established procedures and best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tankers endorsement. Journeyman Electrical Lineman Certificate from the State of Washington. First Aid and CPR certification. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and under adverse weather conditions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. High school diploma or equivalent required.
