City of Bloomfield: Office Coordinator - Parks Department
We are seeking an experienced and organized Office Coordinator to join our Parks Department team. This role will provide high-level administrative support to the department, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and contributing to the achievement of departmental goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the department, including preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records and files.
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and processing invoices.
• Assist with budget preparation, track department expenses, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Develop and implement effective filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure efficient access to information.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives, while maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Requirements:

• Graduation from high school with a course background in secretarial science, general office practice, and procedures.
• One year of specialized training in bookkeeping provided through college courses or on-the-job workshops.
• Two years of responsible experience performing above or related duties.
• Ability to type 45-60 wpm and operate a variety of office equipment, including computers, copiers, and fax machines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, elected officials, and the public.
