Duties
Incumbent ensures that children and adults are able to cross the street safely on their way to and from school.
Stops traffic at assigned school crossings.
Ensure children and adults are crossing only during times that traffic is stopped.
Job Requirements
High school education or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform job duties.
Experience working with and supervising children is preferred.
This position will be for a total of 5 hours per week, 1 hour per day, on school days,
Difficulty of Work and Personal Work Relationship
Incumbent works in all types of weather. Incumbent needs to hold a stop sign that weighs under 1.5 pounds while children are crossing. Incumbent wears supplied safety gear.
Incumbent communicates effectively with staff, children and the public in a courteous, tactful, respectful, and courteous manner.
