EVENT SUPERVISOR – SWITCHYARD PARK
SEASONAL PART TIME
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
On site event support to provide excellent customer service to event organizers, vendors, and guests. Position requires candidate to have the ability to:
- Set up and breakdown event supplies like tables, chairs, audio visual, etc.
- Secure facility—opening and locking spaces used for the event.
- Do basic custodial tasks such as periodic trash pickup, restroom sanitation, and cleaning.
- Enforce facility regulations and procedures.
- Understand safety regulations and assist with safety procedures.
- Serve as an information and public relations resource for the Parks and Recreation Department to the public.
- Follow reporting and documentation needs.
- Accomplish other duties as assigned relating to the event.
EDUCATION:
High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to work well with people; ability to think quickly and exercise good judgment; must be self-motivated. Some customer service, event support, or custodial experience desired.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Successful completion of CPR and first aid certification required. Training available through Parks and Recreation Department if needed.
HOURS:
Hours based upon events. Most shifts are nights and weekends. Generally 14 to 29 hours per week.
Potential hours: Weekdays, 5:00-11:00 p.m. and weekends 8:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.
SALARY:
$16.42- $16.62 per hour.
