Schedule:
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Essential Functions
- Checks on and inspects for safety athletic programs, facilities, and equipment.
- Completes facility maintenance checklist.
- Completes attendance and non-employee accident reports.
- Enforces facility rules and regulations.
- Umpires games and keeps score; maintains adequate records.
- Makes sure half field lights are on/off as needed.
- Drags lines and rakes fields.
- Checks facility use permits.
- Replaces nets, bases, and plates.
- Performs related tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Some knowledge of team sports and related rules
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community officials, employees, volunteer groups, and the general public.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "E" driver's license with no more than six (6) points in the last three (3) years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and carry articles weighing up to 50 lbs., and push articles up to 165 lbs. Must be able to wear helmet, safety glasses, Safety Harness, safety shoes/boots, and gloves. Exposure to temperature extremes, noise, electricity, heights up to 12 ft., dust, animals/insects, and bloodborne pathogens
