The City of Boerne utilizes interns in various departments. Some of those departments include Administration, Human Resources, Planning, Engineering & Mobility, Animal Care Services and the Patrick Heath Public Library.
The City of Boerne Intern will perform a work week based upon the department’s needs. Under limited supervision, the Intern performs entry-level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training in the department in which the internship is being performed. Performs assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards, required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects, presentation and/or reports; accompany the department personnel on assignments and provide technical and/or administrative support.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist professional staff with special projects and administrative duties.
- Collects, compiles, analyzes, and researches information from various sources on a variety of local government issues.
- Prepares documents, reports, and manuals which present and interpret data and identify alternatives.
- Provides support as needed for completion of special projects in support of assigned department.
- Provide customer service by providing information and directions as requested, completes routine office duties.
- Other duties or projects as assigned by the department.
