Job Overview
The Code Enforcement Officer plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to public health, safety, and welfare. This position involves conducting inspections, enforcing codes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote community standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding regulatory standards.

Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and facilities to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and public health regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings from inspections, including any violations or areas of concern.
- Collaborate with property owners, contractors, and the public to educate them about compliance requirements and best practices.
- Manage compliance issues by developing action plans and timelines for resolution.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to OSHA and FDA regulations where applicable.
- Engage in regulatory reporting as required by local and state authorities.
- Investigate complaints related to code violations and take appropriate enforcement actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and compliance efforts.

Qualifications
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to articulate findings clearly and concisely.
- Experience in compliance management related to building codes or public health regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and FDA regulations is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting processes is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying compliance issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.63 - $18.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
