What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Cashier-Pools position at City of Boise?
Greets pool customers, issues swim passes and collects pool user fees when municipal pools are open in warm weather. This position is temporary work during the summer season only, located at one of Boise Parks and Recreation outdoor facilities. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
This position is designated as At-Will.
Six months of cashiering experience.
Ability to: deal with the public, coworkers and supervisors in a friendly and tactful manner; perform basic mathematical calculations; operate a Point of Sale system and calculate change quickly and accurately; exercise some independent judgment and follow city policies; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Knowledge of: customer service techniques; and cash handling procedures.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training
One year of cashiering experience and experience with updating and maintaining databases.

Staffs front counter at pools and greets customers. Answers phones and provides information to the public. Collects pool fees and processes activity registrations quickly and accurately using City Recreation Software.
