Boise Parks and Recreation is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to supervise youth in grades 6-12 as part of our afterschool recreation programs and activities at a city school-based community center. This role involves assisting staff and the program supervisor with the planning and execution of teen recreation activities while working independently with limited supervision.
Open to applicants aged 19 and older, this position is classified as At-Will and offers a rewarding opportunity to engage and inspire youth in a dynamic and supportive environment.Ensures the safety and well-being of all community center afterschool participants and staff.
Encourages and engages youths in a variety of indoor and outdoor group recreational activities such as basketball, tag, and tetherball.
Prepares materials and supplies for youth arts and crafts projects and assists participants when necessary.
Makes sure equipment and supplies are in good working order and notifies supervisor when items need repair or replacement.

Working knowledge of computer software such as Word and Excel as well as internet skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training
One year of experience supervising youths and teens.
Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
