Join our team as a Summer Camp Counselor and spend your days creating unforgettable memories, leading exciting activities, and making a real impact on the lives of campers! Camp Amico is a 7 week summer camp dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for individuals ages 10-21 with developmental disabilities. Our team works collaboratively to deliver recreational activities that promote personal growth, social interaction, and fun. Staff members are responsible for creating supportive relationships with campers, facilitating adaptive activities, and ensuring safety while fostering an enriching and memorable camp experience. Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic, with a commitment to empowering individuals of all abilities.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Arts & Crafts Extraordinaire : Channel your inner Picasso and help campers unleash their creativity with painting, DIY projects, and more. Glitter may be involved (and embraced)!
- Water Sports Wizard : Dive into the fun with kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and water games. You'll be the hero of the splash zone!
- Adventure Leader : Guide campers in team challenges, scavenger hunts, and outdoor exploration. Bonus points if you can build the ultimate campfire story!
- Leadership Guru : Mentor campers, inspire teamwork, and help kids build confidence and friendships that last a lifetime.
- Chief Fun Officer : From silly camp songs to epic dance-offs, you'll be at the heart of the fun, spreading joy and laughter every day.
BPR's Community Programs Team provides recreation and leisure programming to Boulder's youth (camps), people with disabilities (EXPAND) and underrepresented communities (YSI). We are looking for passionate, dedicated, and creative staff to work directly with individuals supervising and supporting them in activities while making a difference in their lives. If you are looking to build leadership skills while having fun, then this is the position for you!
This job is part-time with varying hours each season based on the programs offered. Roles include being a camp counselor at summer or school day off camps and being a program staff at weekly activities and special events with people with disabilities and / or people living in low-income housing sites.

No previous experience necessary. Must be interested and excited about working with youth, teens, people with disabilities and under-represented youth.
