ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep the park clean by removing litter and debris.
- Turf maintenance including mowing and weed eating.
- Setting up tents for private parties and assisting with set up and tear down of large events.
- Assist in maintaining city assets including buildings, vehicles, lake equipment, irrigation system, etc..
- Possess and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to be enthusiastic and friendly; polite, helpful, professional and firm.
- Ability to be outgoing, engaging, knowledgeable and kind.
- Ability to enjoy working in an outdoor environment with variable weather conditions.
- Ability to be detail oriented, highly organized, and anticipating solutions before a problem occurs.
- Ability to react well in stressful and emergency situations and understand your role in the park EAP.
- Ability to diplomatically address issues while implementing excellent customer service skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history
- Knowledge of operating trucks, utv's, power tools, hand tools, and a variety of other equipment.
- Landscape maintenance and construction skills.
- Knowledge of effective and efficient radio communication and park emergency procedures.
- Experience working with a diverse group of people with different skillsets.

Working Conditions And Requirements
- Physical and mental effort: Ability to perform a wide range of strenuous physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment. Physical ability to stand, walk, and kneel. Able to use a variety of long handled, manual, and power tools; and to operate equipment while working in and around moving traffic. Upper body strength to lift up to 40 pounds on a daily basis and over 75 pounds on an occasional basis. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities that permits the employee to communicate effectively in person.
- Work Environment: Frequently works outside with exposure to a variety of weather conditions. Works in a setting subject to continuous interruptions and background noises. Ability to stand, crawl, crouch, climb, stoop and kneel in on a regular basis.
