Position Summary
Summer is almost here, and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Recreation Leaders! Spend your summer making an impactful difference in our community working with school-aged children at our beautiful Story Mill Community Center and Park! Recreation Leaders are the stars of our summer camps and are responsible for a wide range of activities, from planning and implementing camp programs to making sure our campers and team alike have an outstanding summer.
We will be hiring one short-term worker who is available to work weekday evenings starting May 1st to run our little league T-Ball program, and the rest of our summer team will start on May 21st. We are looking for employees who can work through August 22nd.
Bargaining Unit: Not Represented
Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-Exempt
Work Week: All positions work Monday through Friday. Specific shifts available are:
- Full-time positions, 40 hours/week, either 8am-4pm
- Part-time positions, 20 hours/week, either 12pm-4pm OR 2pm-6pm
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position;
- Experience working with children is desired, but not required;
- Experience with recreation programming is desired, but not required;
- CPR/First Aid Certification must be completed within two weeks of hire (training/certification will be provided by the City.)
