Position Summary
Summer is almost here, and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Workers for the Solid Waste Division! This is a great opportunity to get outside this summer and really get to know the community, as Short Term Workers in this division will be involved in garbage and recycling pick up and will get to ride around town on the back of a collection truck! They will also be responsible for some minor maintenance and cleaning up around the Solid Waste facility up on Story Mill Road.
Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, or 7am to 3:30pm
Bargaining Unit: Not Represented
Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-Exempt
Length of Season: Ideally April 28th through August 24th
Assignment Details: Not to exceed 90 working days or 520 hours, whichever comes first
APPLICATION TIMELINE:
- The position will begin working May 19th at the earliest
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position;
- All employees must possess a valid Class D driver's license;
- Some experience is desired, but not required.
