A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be: Five years of experience of an increasingly responsible nature in governmental accounting, financial services (i.e. accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and procurement), budget development and management, or auditing work, including two years in a managerial capacity, to obtain the knowledge and abilities listed above.Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business or public administration, or a closely related field.
