CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR
The City of Bridgeton, Missouri is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Code Enforcement Inspector. The position is responsible for enforcing the minimum maintenance standards and conditions of all properties, buildings and structures within the City of Bridgeton, ensuring that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, issuing warnings violation, citations, and court summons; interior and exterior field inspection work; and the preparation of reports, memos, notices, and other correspondence as required.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with five or more years of experience in code enforcement. Certification as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector, with familiarity of the 2015 International Property Maintenance Code is required. The salary range is $22.89 to $32.18 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. The City of Bridgeton offers an excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and the Missouri LAGERS defined benefit pension plan.
