- Applicants must have attended the Summer Job Launch on February 22, 2025
- Applicants must reside within the City limits of Brighton or attend a School District 27J School

- As part of the Growing Grads Summer Internship Program, the following dates are required for interns to attend: June 9, June 10, June 17 and July 22.
Definition: This position will perform a variety of responsibilities include working with the public and assisting in the different divisions within the Police Department.
Example of Duties:
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate computer, telephone, copier, adding machine and other office equipment
- Sort and file documents and records, maintaining alphabetical, index and cross-reference files
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- May assist in different divisions of the police department including, records, detectives, code enforcement, animal control, victim services, patrol and municipal court
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic analytical skills
- Modern computer equipment
- Perform general clerical work including maintenance of appropriate records
- Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and Microsoft Office software.
- Work courteously with the general public and staff on the telephone or in person.
Schedule:
Position to start the week of June 9th. Summer Internship hours would be 15-20 hours per week up to a total of 150 hours.
Work hours will be during working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
