The City of Broadview Heights is looking to hire an Assistant Head Custodian to work second shift, Tuesday through Saturday. In this job, you would assign work, supervise, and train full time and part time Custodial employees on your shift, monitor the cleanliness of facilities, perform custodial work, and provide back up to the day shift Head Custodian. Your responsibilities would include:

• Assisting with scheduling, assigning work and ensuring timely and safe completion of work by Custodial employees.
• Performing daily inspections of all areas of the building and work performed by Custodial staff.
• Training staff, providing input on job performance, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring safe practices are followed (“Wet Floor” signage, etc.).
• Assisting with tracking time and payroll input, and providing verbal and written reports.
• Performs any and all Custodial duties, including setting up/taking down chairs and tables, performing complex cleaning tasks and utilizing advanced cleaning equipment. Most work is performed indoors, but tasks would include shoveling snow/salting around doors and walkways, sweeping walks, etc.
• Maintaining inventory, ordering and picking up supplies as needed.
