Job Summary
The Flower Care Worker is responsible for watering, maintaining, and caring for flowers in designated areas. This includes ensuring plants receive proper hydration, removing weeds, and keeping flower beds clean and visually appealing. Daily work schedule is flexible.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to perform light physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Must be a United States citizen. This position does not support sponsorship.
Major Duties- (Essential Function)
- Watering flowers and plants as needed.
- Removing weeds and debris from flower beds.
- Monitoring plant health and reporting any issues.
- Assisting with seasonal planting and general upkeep of flower areas.
Marginal Duties
- Attend training, seminars and workshops as deemed necessary.
- Perform all duties in compliance with safety standards and policies established by the City.
- Perform other job-related duties as deemed necessary and additional duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands/Work Environment (Essential Function)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
