Job Description:
- Maintaining law and order through effective policing strategies.
- Engaging with community members to build trust and prevent crime.
- Collaborating with other officers to achieve shared goals.
- Providing assistance to victims of crime and their families.
Requirements:
- Citizen of the United States.
- Aged between 21 and 45 at the time of appointment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Ohio Operator's License.
- Certificate from a certified organization (e.g., Cuyahoga Community College police officer agility exam).
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting salary: $28.94 per hour.
- Four-year rate: $41.52 per hour.
- Medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance after 90 days of employment.
- Sick time accumulation: 4.6 hours for every 80 hours worked.
- Vacation: 2 weeks after one year of employment.
- Longevity pay: received after 4 full years of employment.
