The City of Buffalo is seeking a talented Seasonal Construction Laborer to support the Electric Department in underground construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in underground construction activities, including potholing and trenching.
• Operate hand tools and light equipment safely and effectively.
• Support equipment operators by staging materials and preparing work sites.
• Restore construction sites to original condition after project completion.
• Load and unload materials as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications:
• High school graduate or equivalent degree.
• Class D Driver's license.
• One (1) year experience in operation of trucks and light equipment.
• One (1) year construction experience.
Typical Work Environment:
This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require occasional overtime. The successful candidate will be required to attend a First Aid/CPR training session upon hire.
