What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Director of Finance position at City of Burleson, TX?
PRIMARY DUTY:
Performs a variety of highly technical financial tasks and management oversight under the general direction of the Director of Finance. These tasks include, but are not limited to, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, debt, capital projects, audit, grant reporting, purchasing, utility billing, equipment replacement, operational reviews, and special projects, as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Four (4) years progressively responsible experience in a local government finance environment.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
- Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate OR Certified Governmental Finance Officer preferred.
Salary : $101,108 - $151,661
