Position Details
The Firefighter Trainee position is intended for individuals who are beginning their career in fire service who have not yet obtained all the certifications required to become a Firefighter / Paramedic. As a Firefighter Trainee, you will receive the training and hands-on experience needed to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to protect life and property, perform firefighting and rescue operations, and respond to emergency medical calls. We take care of you with a strengths-based culture of support and development and a total rewards package. Our department has a very active health and wellness program to support our members to include physical and emotional wellness.
Burnsville Fire is a full-time career department that responds to all hazards and provides advanced life support emergency medical service transport capability to our community. Our 55-member department operates out of two fire stations, is ready to serve at a moment's notice, and actively engages with the community to reduce risk and increase safety awareness.
This role is full-time. Firefighter Trainees will have up to 24 months to successfully obtain all the certifications required to transition into the Firefighter / Paramedic role. For additional information, visit our
