Position Details
As a Maintenance Worker in the Utilities Department, you will contribute to keeping our community safe, vibrant, and welcoming for all by assisting with the repair, upkeep, and operation of Burnsville’s utility systems. What you'll bring to help you be successful
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience in maintenance or construction, with a minimum of six (6) months specifically in water distribution, sanitary collection systems, or the water and sewer construction industry—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within nine (9) months of hire.
- Ability to obtain a Class D Water Operator Certification within two (2) years.
- Ability to obtain a Class S-D Collection System Operator Certification within two (2) years.
