Position Details
As a Wellness Coordinator, you will enhance the wellbeing of police department personnel through innovative wellness programs that support physical, mental, and emotional health, aligning with the department's values of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
This opening will lead a comprehensive wellness program for the police department. The focus of the Wellness Coordinator will be to inventory current wellness offerings, develop and implement new programs and evaluate wellness initiatives and strategies. The position will also offer emotional support and refer to other professional services when necessary. In addition, the Wellness Coordinator will respond to after-hours major incidents / OIS / management situations.
Founded on a vision of progressive law enforcement principles, our Police Department is a team of 84 sworn officers and 22 civilians who use community-oriented policing to provide public safety. This role is non-exempt (hourly) and has a starting wage of $56.29.

What you'll bring to help you be successful
Master's degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or a related field. Valid post-graduate clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPCC, or similar credential).
Minimum of three years of experience providing clinical services, with a strong preference for experience working in public safety or with law enforcement personnel.
Expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
Experience with organizational wellness strategies and employee engagement.
A preference for teaching or education experience, classroom or in the field.
