What are the responsibilities and job description for the Code Enforcement Officer -Community Development position at City of Caldwell?
The City of Caldwell has an opening for a Part Time Code Enforcement Officer in the Community Development Department. This individual will support zoning activities specifically related to zoning code enforcement and assists City personnel and the public by documenting, recording, processing, and analyzing information; performs other tasks as assigned. This employee monitors zoning compliance and supports those activities associated with zoning code enforcement and property maintenance. Works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director and the general supervision of the Community Development Director. This employee responds to complaints of zoning violations, but may also include subdivisions, building permits, special use permits, and home occupation permits. Must have good communication and great customer service interaction with City employees and the public. Will perform related work as required. Subject to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Education, qualifications and training:
- High School Diploma or GED and
- Some related office experience, preferably within an enforcement agency or planning department or
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications:
- Idaho driver's license
This is a part-time position with PERSI retirement. 19 hours a week. No benefits.
