Job Description
The City of Camas is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Water Utility Maintenance Worker I position within the Public Works Department. The individual selected for this position will primarily perform major and minor construction and a variety of maintenance and repair work on City water systems. The hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3 : 30pm.
The position is eligible for a full benefits package, and is represented by AFSCME, Local 307CC.
Minimum Qualifications
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- One year of maintenance or construction experience is desirable
- Possession of a valid Class A CDL preferred
- Possession of a Flagging card within 6 months of date of employment
In addition to the job description requirements, the preferred candidate will possess the following attributes : positive attitude, ability to take initiative, excellent customer service skills, good verbal, and written communication skills, demonstrated organizational and decision-making skills and flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
Supplemental Information
Starting salary $ 5320-6350 monthly DOE
Starting maximum $5813)
