What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Instructor position at City of Campbell?
Lead safe and engaging group fitness classes for varying levels and abilities. - Create an inclusive and welcoming class environment.
- Maintain weight room equipment and notify supervisor of equipment needing to be repaired or replaced.
- Create a safe, professional, and positive environment through enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of staff and patrons using the weight room.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times – especially in punctuality, responsibility, personal appearance, respectful communication, and customer service.
- Follow Department guidelines.
- Represent the City and the Department in a positive and effective manner.
- Maintain effective communication and rapport with supervisor and participants.
Minimum age at time of hire is 18 years old. Personal training certification or Group X certification. First Aid & CPR Certification required. Experience working with older adults and Gerontology certification is highly desirable.
