Job Description

Reports to : SUPERVISOR OF TRANSPORTATION

Required :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Civil service eligibility
• Valid School Bus Operator's License or obtain one within a year
• Previous experience in the repair of diesel and gasoline engines
• Previous experience in the repair of standard and automatic transmissions
• Previous experience in tune-up and minor body repairs
• Previous experience in fixing and / or installation of brakes
• Physical ability to handle materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Physical ability to work in and under transportation vehicles
• Ability to work without supervision
• Cooperate and get along with others
• Honesty
• Work as a member of a team

Testing Information

REPEATING AN EXAM

Per OAC Rule 123 : 1-9-01, an applicant who has competed in a civil service examination cannot repeat that examination or take an examination for the same classification within FOUR MONTHS from the date of the original examination unless an alternative form of examination is given, or unless other standards are specified in the examination announcement.
