Qualifications
Six (6) months of experience in the maintenance and repair of utilities, stormwater or transportation infrastructure.
Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida CDL B driver's license within ninety (90) days of hire or promotion.
Must obtain and maintain Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control certification from an approved trainer within six (6) months of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities
When Assigned to Public Works : Performs maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation, maintenance and repair of stormwater infrastructure including catch basins, swales, pipes, outfalls, weirs, and canals; installation, maintenance, and repair of transportation infrastructure including curbs, gutters, sidewalks, streetlights, signs, pavement, and landscaping.
Ensures the proper stocking and functioning of equipment and supplies in assigned city vehicle(s) and prepares work sites per daily work orders.
Knowledge of municipal water and irrigation maintenance and repair work.
Ability to use tools and maintenance equipment.
Perform other related duties as required.
