General Definition of Work
- Helps clients achieve their fitness and health goals through motivating and educating them. It’s much more than giving out exercise orders.
Essential Functions
- Safety of the patrons and equipment in the fitness room.
- Assess, discuss, motivate, and teach clients how to improve their fitness, strength or physique
- Exercise plans must be explained clearly to the client so they understand what they're doing and why
- Provide feedback on correct technique
- Record and monitor health, weight, fitness, and strength so that they can constantly adjust programs to challenge their client
- Rack weight plates and dumbbells and unload bars.
- Inspect the equipment and report any needed repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills, customer service, and a positive attitude.
- Certification of ACE, AFAA, ACSM or other highly recognized certification.
- First Aid, AED, and CRP certification
