What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Volleyball Official - Sportsplex position at City of Cape Girardeau?
General Definition of Work
Position responsible for officiating of youth and adult volleyball leagues and tournaments offered by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department up to and including:
- Adult Coed Sand Volleyball League
- Adult Sand / Indoor Volleyball League
- Adult Indoor Coed Volleyball League
- Junior High Summer Volleyball League
- S*M*A*S*H* Volleyball
- Fall Youth Volleyball Tournament
- Various Volleyball Tournaments
- Be at assigned game sites at least fifteen minutes before scheduled game time.
- Conduct all pre and post game duties (coin toss, meet team captains, rule interpretations, game summary sheets).
- Officiate matches and enforce the rules of the game.
- Keep score on a flip scoreboard.
- Ensure the safety of all participants.
- Secure hazardous-free playing area.
- Conduct yourself in a respectful, confident, and secure manner.
