The City of Carthage Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible Responsible for performing all general, semi-skilled and skilled labor duties to assist the Parks Department in performing its mission to take care of the City’s parks system.
Work involves performing a variety of general labor and maintenance in the care and upkeep of park grounds, picnic facilities and related recreational facilities including mowing, grounds maintenance, grounds care, carpentry, plumbing and electrical tasks in the construction and maintenance of park buildings grounds, and related facilities. Work involves the operation of trucks, tractors, mowers, and similar equipment incidental to work assignments.
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. Typical work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Employee is scheduled to work 60-80 hours during bi-weekly work period. Weekends and holidays required. Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
