We are seeking an individual, who has demonstrated a willing commitment to these values, holding them in high regard, to join our family as Recreation Programmer at the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center!
- Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Assists in planning and promoting a variety of activities/events for fitness user groups.
- Manage all operational and delivery aspects of on-site and off-site fitness programs.
- Implement and instruct inclusive fitness classes for youth, adults, and seniors to meet the community needs in a welcome and inclusive environment.
- Recruit, train, supervise and schedule group fitness contractors. Update and maintain communication between fitness instructors and recreation center staff.
- Maintain group fitness program’s attendance records and share any developing trends with recreational team.
- Assist with building activities, including special events.
- Assist with course revenue reports, program assessment and purpose reports.
- Enter and edit fitness programs into Active Net system. Assist with program registration into recreation software system.
- Assist in monitoring class participation counts on a weekly basis and communicating with program coordinators on a consistent basis.
- Collaborate with marketing representative to promote fitness programs.
- Regularly enforce all policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of fitness programming
- Regular attendance required. Includes: (Opening, closing, weekends, rotating shifts, special events, and holidays if needed.
- Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or fitness processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four (4) years of high school or equivalency. Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or closely related field is preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in a recreation center position, or closely related field is preferred.
- Ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire: Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License, CPR, First Aid, AED.
